Bali flights are back on track after Mt. Bromo erupts. The East Java landmark erupted on Thursday decorating the sky with grey and brown ash. Most airlines halted service to Bali several hours, including Qantas and JetBlue.
The halt in service was only temporary and Australians planning on coming to Bali need not be concerned. it is interesting that a couple of years after a major earthquaake in Indonesia, volcanic eruptions have started happening. Anak Krakatoa located between Sumatra and Java came to life recently, as did the always active Merapi in Central Java. Bromo has started to stir and its possible that Mt. Batur in Bali might show some life in the near future.
