American performer Lady Gaga may be performing in Bali if things work out. Lady Gaga had been due to perform in Jakarta but local Muslim groups have threatened to upset the event should it take place, claiming the style of Lady Gaga offends Indonesian culture.

Politicians from Bali’s parliament, including key female figure, Ni Made Sumiati, yesterday invited organisers to move the concert to Bali.

“Bali is a dynamic and flexible island. I just do not see Lady Gaga as erotic indulgence, it doesn’t warrant opposition,” said Sumiati yesterday.
