Rip Curl is proud to announce the opening of its newest surf shop in the heart of the islands coolest strip – Jl. Oberoi.
Once just a small country road, nestled in the heart of Seminyak, is now the place to be for anyone looking for the newest
surf fashion and lifestyle products.



The brand-new 250 sq ft store impresses not only through a perfect harmonization of different product ranges of the new
Hi-Summer 2012 collection, but also through a classic heritage store concept hailing back to the brands inception over 40
years ago. This store caters for every surfers needs including a huge selection of over 150 of the worlds best Surfboards
with brands from DHD, YU, Bushman, Timmy Patterson, Chris Garrett and many more.



"It’s increasingly hard to find a good location for a new store on this up-coming street, so we would firstly like to thank our
Partner Pak Bastian for providing such a great venue.", said Rip Curl’s Marketing Manager James Hendy.
"While developing the concept for this store we really tried to create a real Core Surf Shop with a heritage look and feel
featuring classic branding dating back to the company’s beginning. With the area being so rich in fashion it was essential
that we stuck to what were good at - providing great surf products to real surfers."



Open daily from 10am to 10pm, tourists, locals and surf enthusiasts from all over the world now have the chance to explore

Rip Curl Asia Welcomes Usman Trioko To The Team

Kuta, Bali – Rip Curl Asia is proud to announce the addition of Lombok's most talented surfer, Usman Trioko, to its already stacked surf team.

Hailing from one of the world's most legendary lefthand reef breaks, Trioko is one of Indonesia's top freesurfers and arguably one of the best barrel riders in the world. Trioko has made a name for himself as the top local surfer at Lombok's longest barrel, often outperforming many of the best professionals who come from all over the world to get shacked at his local break.

       


The 17-year-old goofyfooter has avoided contests in favor of catching big swells at the world-class reef breaks near his home in West Nusa Tenggara, and scoring some of the longest barrels on the planet. Trioko's performances at his home break are truly the stuff of legend. He's been known to pull into 20-second barrels across the entire reef and emerge from the tube well past the infamous and dangerously shallow “Grower Section.”


Lately, Trioko has also been fine tuning his rail and aerial surfing, and now possesses a potent backhand attack in righthanders as well. For Usman, who has been without a sponsor for the past eight months, the deal with Rip Curl represents an important milestone in his young professional career.

       


“I've had no sponsor for a long time now, so I'm really stoked to have the support of such a respected company like Rip Curl,” Usman said. “I want to thank Rip Curl and all my friends and family who have supported me and my surfing. I'm looking forward to surfing and searching for new spots with guys like Garut and Oney and everyone else on the Rip Curl Asia team.”

       


Rip Curl SEA Marketing Manager James Hendy said that getting Trioko onto the Rip Curl Asia surf team was a no-brainer, and hinted that we could possibly see Trioko receive a prestigious invitation to the 2013 Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang Invitational, a gathering of the best tube riders on Earth.

       


“Part of Rip Curl's DNA and one of our main brand values is The Search, and Usman represents this value in every conceivable way,” Hendy said. “He is an incredible tube rider from a remote region of Indonesia who has honed his skills surfing on broken boards left behind by traveling surfers.
