Quiksilver Raises over 50 Million Rupiah in Support of Bali Gecko’s Mo-Fundraiser for Prostate Cancer and Male Mental Health Research

1 December 2012, Kuta-Bali:  On Thursday evening October 29th at the Mantra Bar and Restaurant in Seminyak, Quiksilver Indonesia in support of the Bali Gecko’s Mo-Fundraiser collected over 50 million Rupiah (over $5,000 AUD) that will be donated to the Mo and Sons program in Australia, who are using the money to raise the awareness of prostate cancer and male mental health.

There was a great turnout at Mantra for the evening’s festivities, at which many of the well over 100 attendees were in costume and sporting some very creepy mustaches.  “We had a great crew that showed up to support the event,” said Bali Gecko Team Captain Michael Serong.  “In the raffle and with the door charge we raised over 10 million, and from the signed Kelly Slater board a whopping 40 million, thanks to a very generous buyer. It was a fantastic effort by all members of the team who grew Mo's to help raise money and awareness for men's health issues especially prostate cancer and depression. The party was a huge success with a great turn out and plenty of money raised, and I would like to thank all who helped make it possible and donated prizes especially Paul and the crew at Quiksilver.”

Live music by Andy 6-String had the crowd well entertained to cap off a great evening, which was a perfect blend of fun and revelry coupled with a serious message and support for a worthy cause.

The Bali Gecko’s Aussie Rules Football club team has been supporting the Mo and Sons organization to raise money for this worthy cause http://au.movember.com/team/490289, and this event was created to assist them in their efforts.

 

The 13 member team has raised $8,637 AUD so far according to the Mo and Sons website and together with this event that total is now reaching $14,000 AUD!

1 Desember 2012, Kuta-Bali: Pada hari Kamis malam tanggal 29 Oktober di Mantra Bar and Restaurant di Seminyak, Quiksilver Indonesia berhasil mengumpulkan lebih dari 50 juta Rupiah (lebih dari $ 5.000 AUD) untuk Gecko Bali Mo-Fundraiser yang akan menyumbangkan dana tersebut ke Mo and Sons Program di Australia, sebuah program untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kanker prostat dan kesehatan mental laki-laki.

Ratusan orang datang ke Mantra untuk pesta malam itu, dimana lebih dari 100 tamu memakai kostum Movember dan berkumis untuk mendukung tema. "Kami senang melihat banyak orang datang untuk mendukung acara ini," kata Kapten Tim Bali Gecko Michael Serong. "Hasil dari undian dan tiket masuk yang berhasil kami kumpulkan sebesar lebih dari 10 juta rupiah, lalu ditambah hasil lelang papan surfboard bertanda-tangan Kelly Slater senilai 40 juta rupiah, terima kasih kepada seorang pembeli yang sangat murah hati. Ini semua adalah usaha fantastis semua anggota tim yang telah menumbuhkan kumis Mo untuk mengumpulkan uang demi kepedulian akan masalah kesehatan pria terutama kanker prostat dan depresi. Pesta malam ini sukses besar dengan ramainya tamu yang hadir dan banyaknya uang yang diperoleh, dan saya ingin berterima kasih kepada semua yang telah membantu acara ini berlangsung dan juga atas hadiah-hadiah yang disumbangkan terutama dari Paul dan kru-kru Quiksilver. "

Quiksilver’s Latest Jakarta Store Opens in Lippo Mall Kemang 

19 October 2012, Jakarta-Indonesia:  Quiksilver in partnership with PT Gagan Indonesia have just opened their latest store in the new Lippo Mall Kemang, South Jakarta’s trendy and most prestigious mall.

The new store is completely stocked with the latest product from Quiksilver , the exclusive Watermen collection for guys, Quiksilver for ladies, Roxy apparel, accessories,  swimwear for the girls and Freedom Dolly skateboards.  Conveniently located on the Upper Ground floor, it is easily accessible to the thousands of shoppers that crowd the mall each day.
