Raditya Rondi Wins Men’s Open and Yasnyiar Gea Takes Women’s Win at 2012 Taiwan Open of Surfing

19 November 2012, Jinzun Harbor-Taitung County: In an exciting climax to a spectacular three days of competitive surfing at the 2012 Taiwan Open of Surfing Taitung County yesterday, Indonesia’s Raditya Rondi posted his second consecutive ASC Men’s Open victory of the 2012-2013 tour season by besting Australian Dean Brady in a riving 23 minute man-on-man final, winning the largest single division prize money prize of $75,000 NTD ($2,500 USD) so far on the ASC tour and in the biggest surfing competition every held in Taiwan.

“I’m so happy to have won this event today,” said Rondi after hearing that Brady’s final wave score wasn’t enough to take the victory away from him.  “Thanks to my sponsor Billabong for sending me here and thanks to the Taitung government and the ASC for putting on such a great surf contest.  I’ve had such a great time here, surfing and meeting all the local people, and eating great food.  Thanks for all of this!”

Rondi, who was recently crowned the 2012 Indonesian Surfing Championship Men’s Open Champion and already has two Asian Surfing Championship Men’s Open titles to boast about, was up against a formidable opponent in Dean Brady, who was one of Australia’s top ranked Pro Junior surfers and is now an internationally known free surfer.

“I was really lucky to get a couple of good waves at the beginning of the heat to take the lead,” explained Rondi.  “I had seen Brady take out Marlon and then Tipi in the previous heats, and even though he is a big guy he can really surf small waves super good, so I knew it wouldn’t be easy to win.  I was getting nervous in the middle of the heat because there weren’t many good waves coming through, then near the end I got a good wave of 6.5 points so I started to feel more relaxed.  But then just a minute from the end Brady got that one wave and smashed it….so coming in we both didn’t know if it was enough to beat me or not, so I was really nervous again!”

Both competitors and the spectators waited in anticipation for the scores to come down from the judges tower, the ASC Director Tipi Jabrik announced that Brady’s score came up just 1 point short, as he needed a 7.2 point score but earned only a 6.2.

“That was great fun, win or lose.  I was happy to be in the final for sure.” Said Brady.    “Raditya was surfing so well all through the whole event, he certainly deserved to win.  I fell just short, but if I hadn’t got that last wave it would have been way short, so I feel better about that. On the beach before the start we both high fived and I gave him a hug and we both agreed to just go out there and have fun, and we did that. I think we gave the guys on the beach a good show too, and it was a pretty great way to end a super fun three days here in Taiwan.”

In the Women’s Open Division it was 5-time Indonesian Women’s champion and 2-time Asian Women’s champion Yasnyiar “Bonne” Gea (IND) who took out her second consecutive event win of the year, just edging past Taiwan’s Jessie Hong in the final minute.  “I’m so lucky to have gotten that last wave,” said Gea.  “Jessie was leading from the start and we all were chasing her, and I just couldn’t get another good wave until the very end.  I thought I should get a good score because I got lots of turns in, and was so happy when it came it at just enough.”  In her final point tally she bested Hong by a single point.

The Longboard Final was a spectacular display of both progressive and traditional longboard surfing, with world champion Taylor Jenson (USA), young Aussie phenom Nic Jones (AUS), 2-time Indonesian and Asian champ Arip “Mencos” Nurhidayat, and ASP number one ranked Georgia Young showing the Taiwanese crowd on the beach everything from Hang 5’s to Hang 10’s, floaters, deep gouging cutbacks and re-entries, aerials, and maneuvers that haven’t even been named yet, to draw massive rounds of applause and cheers after every wave.  Jenson won the final matchup, scoring the event’s highest single wave score of 8.9 point (out of a possible 10) on his final wave to the delight of the crowd.

In the Junior “Grommet” Division final (16 years of age and under), Australia’s Harry Bryant wowed the crowd with his impressive ‘go for it’ style, taking first place over Rory MacDonald (TWN), Taitung local Wang Zhen Ming “Monkey”, and Wolf Wertheimer (USA).  “I wish the waves had been a bit better for me in the final” said Harry.  “I really wanted to do some big airs and try a bunch of different things, but I just couldn’t get the right waves.  But it was so great just to be here, I’m so stoked about the place, the people, the food and everything!”

In Noserider Pro Invitational final, the remaining 5 noseriding specialists from the original 16 that started the competition on Friday (a mix of competitors from Australia, Indonesia, Taiwan and the USA) paddled out to see who could wrap their toes over the nose of their boards the longest and most often and come home with the big winner’s check.  It was not a big surprise that Taylor Jenson took out the final, as he had won every heat since the first day, and was a star attraction on the beach as well as in the water, as many of the Taiwanese surfers are avid longboarders.   When asked about his experience so far, Jenson replied, “This is my first time to the Taitung area, so I didn’t know what to expect with the whole event. I was surprised at how many people there were here and how big the set up was.  It seems like longboarding is pretty popular here too, probably because the waves can be a bit slow and a touch flat, which lends itself well to longboarding.  Plus most people learn on longboards and surfing is relatively new here.  I really had fun out here and I’m stoked to be here.

At the awards presentation held the evening after the day’s finals had been concluded, Taitung governor Jason Huang thanked the competitors, the judging panel, the ASC, and the event organizers for their support and hard work at making the event such a great success, and promised to continue to support the growth of surfing in Taiwan.  He was very impressed by the surfing he witnessed, saying, “Being able to watch you perform, right here in Taitung, is a wonderful experience, for me and all the local people.  I think they have only ever seen anything like this on You Tube or TV or on the internet.  So this is a very meaningful event and I thank you for your participation and your support in making this event a big success.  Next year we will be doing it again and I hope to see you here,” which drew a big round of applause.

ASC Director Tipi Jabrik in his speech complemented Governer Huang saying, “This place is really special, so natural, the water so clear. That’s the reason people want to come here to surf.  And another thing that is really special.  Wherever you go for a surfing competition, you will never see the governor going to the contest site.  You should feel really honored to have the governor coming and checking if everything is ok.  It’s a great sign that the government really does care about surfing, so we’re looking forward for great things in Taiwan’s surfing future.”

The 2012 Taiwan Open of Surfing was an Ultima grade Asian Surfing Championship sanctioned surfing competition, sponsored by the Taitung County government, with total prize money of the NTD 600,000 (USD $20,000) in prize money across the Men’s Open, Women’s, Open, Longboard Open, Juniors, and Noserider Pro Invitational divisions, which is the biggest prize purse ever offered in a surfing event in Taiwan.

Indonesia’s 2012 Surfing Champions Crowned During Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship Awards Presentation at W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak-Bali

5 November 2012, Kuta-Bali: The Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championships, Indonesia’s only professional surfing organization, celebrated its 9^th year by crowning Indonesia’s top surfers on Friday night November 2^nd at the posh W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak with a gala dinner and awards presentation.  The awards presentation was then followed by a raging after party at the nearby Mantra Restaurant and Bar that lasted well into the wee hours.

Highlighting the evening and earning his first ever Indonesian Surfing Championship Open title was 23-year-old Raditya Rondi from Bali, who accepted his trophy and a check for Rp 100 million (almost $10,000 USD) for his stellar performance in 2012.  Rondi is one of Indonesia’s best up and coming young talents, growing up in Kuta in an extended family boasting some of Bali’s best surfers including Wayan Gantiyasa, Garut Widiarta, and Made “Bol” Adi Putra. 

Last year Rondi narrowly missed out on the number one spot taken by fellow Kuta resident Marlon Gerber, so this year’s victory was extra sweet for the young man. From the podium after accepting his trophy and winner’s check, Rondi said, “Wow, I’m feeling great tonight.  Taking this trophy is one of my dreams in surfing, to be the Indonesian champion.  It’s my first time and I hope its not going to be the last time! I want to thank my family, my friends, my sponsors, the ISC crew and Coca Cola for making it all happen.  I hope you guys enjoy the night, thank you!”

In addition to his Indonesian title, Rondi also has two consecutive Asian Surfing Championship trophies on his shelf, recently having been crowned the 2012 Asian Surfing Champion in Phuket, Thailand this last September.

The Ballroom at the W started filling up with surfers, leaders and management from the surfing industry, government officials, media and event sponsor representatives at about 7:30 pm, all joining in to celebrate another epic year and to congratulate the 2012 champions, while enjoying a delectable four-course dinner with drinks from Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia and Ketel One.

Everybody enjoyed dinner, drinks, and the camaraderie with friends as a slide show with photos taken during the 2012 season clicked along on the big screen, and then MC Tai Graham got up and announced it was time for the night’s formalities to begin.  He took the audience through a recap of the primary events that had the tour first in Canggu in Bali for the Oakley Pro, then traveling up to the Mentawai Islands for the Rip Curl Pro at Macaronis, down to West Java for the Quiksilver Open, then over to West Sumbawa for the O’Neill Freak of the Reef event, before jetting up to Phuket Thailand for the first-ever dual sanctioned CC-ISC and ASC Quiksilver Open Phuket.

The season wrapped up on Kuta Beach at the Rip Curl Surf & Music Festival with an intense race for two championship titles on the line.  Yasnyiar Gea was the first to seal a championship bid in the Women’s Division, grabbing her 5^th consecutive title over runner up Salini Rengganis, and then it was 2 time CC-ISC champ (2007 and 2010) Lee Wilson attempting to hold of the charging “Cabul” Raditya Rondi.  Wilson failed to advance past the 4^th round so was relegated to the beach to watch Rondi down competitor after competitor to win the event and the Open Championship.  It was truly an exciting finale to an epic year of surfing competition.

A special Sean Gilhooley produced video followed that gave an up close and personal look at the surfers and the events that made the 2012 so great, which had had everybody cheering and clapping.

A series of speeches followed, led off by Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia representative S. A. Rara speaking on behalf of CCIA Business Director Bruce Waterfield.  “I’ve been here in Bali and involved with the ISC for the last three years,” she said, “and I would like to say thank you to the ISC for such a great partnership, and we hope that there are many more great things to come in the future.  It’s always been our commitment to support surfers and surfing in Indonesia, to help the ISC and surfers like Tipi, Dede, and Mus, making their dreams come true, and we’re so glad to be a part of it.  I would also like to give a big congratulations to all our champions here tonight, to Raditya, Bonne, Gazali, Raju, Ketut and Arip.  You guys did a great job this year and we are very proud of you.”

CC ISC President Director Tipi Jabrik was next to take to the podium.  He first thanked Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia and specifically Business Director Bruce Waterfield, without whose continual support the ISC would not have been able to grow into what is known as “The Real Dream Tour of Surfing”.  He next thanked all the event sponsors Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Oakley, O’Neill and Billabong, then followed by thanking Mr. Dadang from West Java, Mrs. Desti from the Mentawais, and Mr Zulkifli from West Sumbawa, whose support is an example of how the government is getting more involved in surfing.

“For us surfing is our passion,” said Jabrik.  “But for them it’s something new.  It a way for them to grow and develop the potential of their area for their benefit, and it also benefits us.  Surfing is about having fun for sure, but at the end of the day it has its serious side as well.  So we (private industry and government) need to all work together and support each other for the future of our sport. Look at the young kids like Rio and Komo, they want to become champions like Raditya Rondi and Lee Wilson, to have a career in surfing.  And that’s what we want to give them.”

Jabrik also took a moment to reflect on the recent passing of two surfing greats, first Andy Irons who died two years ago, and local legend Dave Wylie. Regarding Wylie, Jabrik said, “I would like especially to remember and thank Dave Wylie, who was a big part of surfing in Indonesia and in Bali.  He passed away a couple of days ago, and leaves us with a lot of great memories.  He showed us that surfing is about having adventures, having fun, and sharing, so to Dave Wylie, thanks for sharing!” 

Before the surfers received their trophies and winner’s checks, the Event of the Year was announced, the Quiksilver Open West Java.  Quiksilver SEA CEO Paul Hutson took to the stage with Mr. Dadang from the West Java Government to accept the award.  He began his speech saying, “Thanks to Tipi Jabrik and Tim Hain at the ISC, and everyone involved in the ISC.  We wouldn’t be able to have an event and a circuit like this here in Indonesia and around South East Asia if it weren’t for guys like Tipi and Tim who are so passionate about what they do.  So give them a big round of applause.  And thanks also to the other brands like Rip Curl, Oakley, and the other.  Let’s focus on working together to keep this dream alive, and we’ll all be here for a lot more years to come!”

Mr. Dadang added, “Thanks to the ISC and to Tipi…to Quiksilver and Coca-Cola for working together to make such a tour and a great event. We’ll see you again next year in West Java.”

The criteria for winning the event of the year includes such things as wave quality, event set up, variety and number of participants and spectators, environmental programs, and community involvement to name the major ones.

Receiving first time CC-ISC Championships were Gazali Hamzah in the Pro Junior (Under 21 years of age) Division and Raju Sena in the Junior (Under 16) Division, while Ketut Juliarta received his second Masters title and Arip “Mencos” Nurhidayat his second Longboard Division title.  Yasnyiar “Bonne” Gea has been the long-reigning Women’s Division Champion, receiving her 5^th consecutive title this year.

At the conclusion of the awards, most of the crew excited the W and took over the nearby Mantra Restaurant and Bar, where they were treated to more drinks from Ketel One and some great live music by the Ballian Band and Andy 6-String, and then finishing off with DJ Major.

22^nd October, Kuta, Bali.

After a weekend of incredible Surfing culminating in the Crowning of both Mens and
Womens Indonesian Surfing Champions the 2012 Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival came
to an end yesterday with record breaking crowds turning out to witness the biggest Free
Live music show ever seen on Kuta Beach Halfway, Bali.



Evening entertainment started with Dita The Mighty who played a drum solo session
warming up the crowd followed by  Mom Called Killer  breaking the first ground with a
big inciting performance. Their mix of tight drums together with guitar distortion and
heavy vowel sounding basses had the huge crowd totally freaking out. The next band
on stage was Stars and Rabbit. Their music, characterised by pop and folk influences,
was softer but definitely not less enjoyable. After the light musical entertainment the
hard metal and punk-rock sounds of Jeruji and Painful by Kisses warmed up the stage
for head-line band Souljah, who beat out their pop/reggae songs to a celebrating crowd.  
On top of that DJ Electrofux closed the 2012 Surf & Music Festival with some cool
dubstep tracks.

Earlier in the afternoon saw some of the most dramatic and nail biting finishes in Indonesian
Surfing History,  Kuta Beach Local -Raditya Rondi  managed to charge his way through a
field of the best surfers from all over SE Asia to win the event and claim his first  Indonesian
Surfing Championship title at the same time.



“This is the biggest thing that has ever happened in my life for sure, said Rondi, its the biggest
win, biggest prize money, biggest crowd, biggest everything! This is the biggest highlight of
my Life!”

Rondi collected  100million IDR for winning the tour title and 15million more for taking the
Surf and Music Festival crown.  

The huge crowd that had been gathering on the beach since mid morning witnessed an epic
battle as Rip Curl team rider Darmaputra Tonjo and Rondi traded blows in a 30 minute final,
where Tonjo had nothing to lose and Rondi had the 2012 championship to try and win.
At the Start of the day the pressure on Rondi was enormous, as he knew he had to win his
quarterfinal heat, then his semifinal heat, and then the final, or two -time ISC champion and
current number one ranked Lee Wilson would have won the 2012 Championship trophy and
the big check for 100 million rupiah ( almost $10,000 USD) in hand. But Rondi was clearly up
to the challenge, to the delight of his friends and fans on the beach that chaired him up the
beach to the podium.

This win at the Rip Curl Surf and Music event finishes off the perfect year for Raditya after
recently winning the Asian Surfing Title in Phuket, Thailand in September.

 As if the mens title win was not enough news for the day, the Womens Title was also claimed
during the morning with Yasnyiar “Bonne” Gea taking her 5^th Coca-Cola ISC Womens Title.
“Bonne” also came in an impressive 2^nd Place podium finish at the event being narrowly defeated
by ASC women's Surfing champion Annisya Flynn from Thailand who claimed her maiden
Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival Title.

The action packed weekend was not just about the main Womens and Mens Divisions – The
event also saw the SE Asia GromSearch junior finals decided. With the coveted prize of a all
expenses paid trip to the GromSearch World Finals held during the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach,
in Australia in April 2013, kids from all over the region brought their A-game to the beach.
After a tough battle in the small but perfect Grom conditions, it was two Bali boys that made
it through to the finals with Padma Beach local Raju Sena up against Nusa Dua's Koko Mitsua.
Both kids went head to head in the 30minute final in front of a frothing crowd going blow for
blow until the last and final score dropped in as they walked up the beach with Koko finally
getting the nod from the judges to edge past his rival.



“I'm so happy I won today, this is my best win ever, especially here in  Kuta with everybody
watching” Koko said. “To get to travel to Australia is a dream come true as I've never been
there before and I hope I can be a good representative for Indonesia. Its my last year as a
junior, so its the perfect way to end it.”

After the finals of the Surfing action all focus moved over to the skateboarding comp which
was being held in the car park adjacent to the beach.  Creativity, fun and top notch skating
was happening over the entire weekend with a makeshift mini obstacle set -up providing
the perfect stage for some of Indonesia's best known Skaters to bust out their swag of tricks.  
The riders used the whole weekend to get to know and skate the challenging custom-built
obstacle course with Saturday starting out with a free ride session, followed by the main
event day on Sunday.



The skate competition kicked-off with the beginner division in the early afternoon, where
 Keanuw took first place pulling off the biggest and hardest tricks among his competitors.
Sangoe took second and Jye took third. The main focus on the sunny competition day was
lying on the Open Men division. After some hard preliminary decisions from the critical
judges, it came down to just find a handful of the best riders in the final round. All the skaters
were throwing down hammers knowing that they needed to show skateboarding at its best
to succeed. Finally, the Open division winner was a surprise – but then again not. During the
weekend, Rino Padang pushed his level higher and higher. In the end, he hammered precise
tricks. Rip Curl Asia Skater Dewa Oka, one of the favourite's on that weekend, followed Rino
onto take second place. A well deserved third place went to Kyori, who nailed incredible
tricks in the quarter pipe. Another highlight came right after the final, the best trick contest,
where an impressive Andrew Remote won with a massive Big Indy Grab Spin.

The skating, the cool rock and dubstep sounds and the relaxed atmosphere in the Surf & Music
Festival Skate Area made a memorable weekend for both riders and spectators.

All the guys on the podium received full packed Rip Curl and Skullcandy goodie bags besides
prize money checks.

Surfing Championship and Asian Surfing Championship 6-star event, offering a total prize purse of

Raditya Rondi Claims Win and 2012 Coca-Cola Indonesian Championship at Rip Curl Surf & Music Festival Presented by Axis

21 October 2012, Kuta-Bali: In an incredible climax to an action-packed final day of the Rip Curl Surf & Music Festival presented by Axis at Kuta Beach, Bali’s Raditya Rondi not only claimed his second consecutive Rip Curl Surf & Music win but his first Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship Men’s Open title, adding his name to the elite list of Indonesia’s best surfers that includes Rizal Tanjung, Pepen Hendrik, Made “Bol” Adi Putra, Lee Wilson, Dede Suryana, Putra Hermawan, and Marlon Gerber.

The huge crowd that had been gathering on the beach since mid morning witnessed an epic battle as Darmaputra Tonjo and Raditya Rondi traded blows in a 30 minute final, where Tonjo had nothing to lose and Rondi had the 2012 championship to try and win. 

At the start of the day the pressure on Rondi was enormous, as he know he had to win first his quarterfinal heat, then his semifinal heat, and then the final, or two-time ISC champion and current number one ranked Lee Wilson would have the 2012 championship trophy and the big check for 100 million rupiah (almost $10,000 USD) in hand. But Rondi was clearly up to the challenge, to the delight of his friends and fans on the beach that chaired him up to the podium.

When asked the significance of his dual win today, he replied, “This is the biggest thing that has happened in my life for sure.  It’s the biggest win, the biggest prize money, the biggest crowd, the biggest everything.  This is the biggest highlight of my life! “

And how did it feel out there in the final?  “In the last two minutes out there I was so nervous.  Tonjo didn’t get the score he needed on his last wave, so I had to go over by him, hassle a little, because I knew how easy it would be for him to get the score if he got a good wave.  I’m so happy now that it’s done, it was a long day for sure.  Last night I didn’t hardly sleep, and I had a bad dream …but I’m so glad it was only a dream. Tonight maybe I won’t sleep too much either, but that’s because I’ll go out party a bit then I’ll have a good sleep.”

Rondi was crowned the 2012 Asian Surfing Champion in Phuket, Thailand in September, so it has indeed been a great month for that talented young surfer.

Another champion was crowned today as well, as Yasnyiar “Bonne” Gea won her 5^th consecutive Coca-Cola ISC Women’s Championship.  Though she didn’t win the event today (she came in second place,) she was all smiles. “I’m so happy…what can I say…5 times Indonesian champion, wow!  It was much harder this year than in years past.  I had to wait and see how Salini did, and when she didn’t make it through her heat it really put the pressure on me.  Lucky I got a few waves so I won my heat, and got the championship.”

Winning the Women’s Division was Thailand’s Annissa Flynn, who is the newly crowned 2012 Asian Surfing Championship’s Women’s Champion, at just 14 years of age. “This is my first win here in Indonesia, so its one I’ll always remember,” she said.  “After winning the ASC Women’s title in my home country of Thailand, then to come here a month later and win my first Indonesian comp is unbelievable.  I’m only 14 so to do all this in just a short time is kinda crazy, isn’t it?  I’m super stoked about it all.”

In the much-anticipated South East Asia GromSearch Final, it was Koko Mitsua from Nua Dua going head to head with Raju Sena from Kuta. Swapping the lead on virtually every wave ridden, in the final minute it was Mitsua that came out on top and wins the coveted all expense paid trip to Bells Beach next year to represent Indonesia at the World GromSearch Finals.  “I’m so happy that I won today, this is my best win ever, especially here in Kuta with everybody watching.  To get to travel to Australia is a dream come true, as I’ve never been there before, and I hope I can be a good representative for Indonesia.  It’s my last year as a junior, so it’s the perfect way to end it.”

The Rip Curl Surf & Music Festival is the final event of the Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship each year, and for the second consecutive year has been a dual sanctioned event with the Asian Surfing Championships.  Men and women surfers from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines and other Asian countries come to compete each year and enjoy the surfing, skating, and music on had at Kuta Beach.

This year drink sponsors, Smirnoff Ice, San Miguel Light, and Gilbeys provided refreshments during the weekend, as Skullcandy rocked the beach with their huge sound system and great tunes, all giving the spectators contestants, passer’s-by ample reason to stick around and enjoy the show.

The day was wrapped up by a skate competition set up in a beachside parking lot, with the area’s best skaters competing for cash and prizes before heading over to the giant beachside stage where a night full of rocking music would finish off the epic weekend.

The Rip Curl Surf & Music Festival has set the stage for the showdown at Kuta Beach this weekend, October 20 and 21st, for the grand finale to the 2012 Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship tour season.

The championship title race in the Open Division comes down to two surfers from Bali,  Lee Wilson and Raditya Rondi. Wilson has twice won  Coca-Cola ISC Open Championships, first in 2007 and then again in 2010, and looks to be in the driver's seat to win this year, with only Raditya Rondi capable of thwarting his third championship victory.

Rondi won the Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival last year and is always the favorite to win at Kuta Beach, a certain threat to be reckoned with.  He was second in the rankings last year and is currently in second spot again this year, so for sure he will be going  all out in hopes of  breaking that "runner up" jinx this weekend.  Rondi has already already won the 2012 Asian Surfing Championship title, so with this CC-ISC championship title at stake in his home town and at his home break....let's just see what happens!

So what are the scenario's?

After dropping their two lowest event scores of the season, meaning the points total of their best four events is the final points total for the championship, it all boils down to this:

*  Lee Wilson will win the 2012 Coca-Cola ISC Open Championship if Rondi Rondi fails to win first place in the 2012 Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival

*  Raditya Rondi can only win the 2012 Coca-Cola ISC Open Championship if he wins first place.  Anything less and Lee Wilson will become the champion no matter how Wilson finishes in the event

* If Raditya Rondi wins and Lee Wilson comes in second, their overall points total will be the same at 11,250 points...but Lee Wilson will still win due to the fact that his second worst finish in a 2012 ISC event was higher than Raditya Rondi's (Wilson's 2,500 points to Rondi's 1,675).

This is sure going to go down to the most exciting run for the championship we have seen in years, so don't miss it.  Come on down to the Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival and see Asia's top surfers battling it out at Kuta Beach this weekend!
