Sunny Bali Beach |
The Bukit Bali is home to numerous pristine beaches. Traditionally many of these beaches were used only for Balinese ceremonies and by a handful of fishermen. Nowadays seaweed farmers set up there frames and more recently foreign development has led to clifftop villas and 'beach-club' type development. Bali adat (traditional law and custom) states that developments have to provide Balinese locals free access to the beach to carry out their religious duties. This is great and also affords others such as foreign expats the freedom to enjoy the beaches that are quickly being eaten up by land-grabbing outsiders.
