South East Asia’s First Quiksilver Women’s Store Opens in Phuket, Thailand with Special Guest 5-Time ASP World Champion Stephanie Gilmore

 

 

October 2012, Jakarta-Indonesia:  On September 14^th, Quiksilver Women’s Ambassador and 5-time ASP World Champion Stephanie Gilmore made a special guest appearance in Thailand for the opening of South East Asia’s first Quiksilver Women’s store at the Jungceylon Mall in Patong Beach, Phuket.

 

With the distinction of having only the second Quiksilver Women’s store in the entire world, Thailand’s holiday island of Phuket can lay claim to having the perfect location for this trendsetting women’s surf fashion line, as the new QSW store joins the existing Quiksilver and DC stores in Phuket’s upscale Jungceylon Mall, which is located in the center of Patong Beach and is easily the most popular shopping and entertainment stop in town.

 

The first QSW flagship store is located in Malibu,California with an additional store in Newport Beach (California) opening later this month.

 

The grand opening of the new QSW store began with 5-time and current world surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore accompanying the Quiksilver SEA team, posing for photos with her fans and media, signing posters, and then hanging out for the party that included dinner, drinks, a fashion show and live entertainment.

 

“I’m so happy I could be here for this special store opening,” said Gilmore.  “This is my first time to Phuket and it’s been way beyond my expectations, it has been so much fun,” she added.  “ I’m so proud to be able to represent QSW and meet all the fans here tonight, plus get in a couple of surfs and hang out at the surf contest. It’s great to see how much the girls like our new range of products, and how much media coverage we’re getting.  I never knew all this existed here in Thailand, and you can bet I’ll be coming back here again for sure,” she concluded.

 

Quiksilver Thailand’s General Manager Surached Mungthong was extremely pleased with the turnout and the reception by both customers and the media, saying, “We were confident that the QSW brand was very strong and would be well received here in Phuket, and what we saw tonight absolutely confirms it.  Having a 5-time world champion like Stephanie Gilmore here to represent the brand and meet the customers and audience in person, shows how committed we are to delivering the best women’s fashions to our customers.  Plus it was a good opportunity for everybody to get together and have a party!”

 

From the opening on September 14^th until mid October, all customer will receive a special grand opening discount of 15% on all QSW products, so head on over the QSW store on the second floor of the Jungceylon Mall, just across the street from the Bangla Road entrance, and be the first to have the latest fashions from the world’s best sports and fashion apparel company.   

 

The QSW store is open everyday from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
