Bali quiet leading up to Idul Fitri

Bali is quiet now after most of the Javanese have gone home for Idul Fitri. Its actually very nice. Nothing against people form Java, its just there are way too many of them in Bali. The roads are a total nightmare 6 days a weeks these days with motorbikes and trucks. Since mudic (transit for Idul Fitri) streets have been much quieter. Its actually possible to drive from the top of the Sunset Rd all the way along Jl. Raya Kerobokan without stopping, how wild is that!

This week will see the arrival of Chinese from Java who bring their families and SUV's. These good natured holiday makers bring Kuta to a standstill. Anyway for the next week or so we can expect quieter streets outside of the Kuta area.
