The wet season in Bali presents a whole bunch of problems for people with electronic devices. These include getting them wet, dropping them in a river / puddle and devices getting corroded after coming from an AC roon into the open and THEN turned on ...instant short circuit!!!
Add to this the slow burner of devices in Indo...fungus! This creapy killer is on fast drive in Bali in the wet season. Leave your camera gear in a dark corner for a couple of days and the whole lot including the bag, camera and lens (the inside of the glass too) will start to get covered in this destroy-all green stuff.
How do you stop this? First don't leave your gear in dark, damp places. Secondly check it often. Third leave it our in the sun to dry off and fourth, use a hair dryer to cook the nasty fungus. Its a good idea to buy a travel hair dryer to use on your laptop, iPad, camera, lens and other important electronic gear in Bali during the wet season.
