Seminyak resident murdered in home robbery

Seminyak resident Luciana Burgess (Indonesian) was brutally murdered in her home on wednesday January 19th by armed intruders. Reports suggest the motive was robbery as her Blackberry was one of the items missing. Mrs. Burgess was married to British expat David Burgess, who was out of the country during the event. 


The Petitenget area is a favourite with expat residents and is developing into a trendy restaurant and lounge bar area. The area features KuDeTa, Hu'u, The Living Room and the latest addition is Potato Head.


Most likely scenario is that the perpetrators are from Java or Lombok and have disappeared back to their villages. If someone they know blabs the police may be able to locate them eventually.
